This is John Mathews from West Bev, CA.
10 years of experience in Corporate Responsibility in Australia and UK. Passionate about sustainability issues, and the positive role that businesses can play in moving Australia to a low carbon economy. Currently participating in the Centre for Sustainability Leadership program in Sydney.
I am passionate about helping the world and gaining meaningful work experience at the same time. I am 22 years old Macquarie University student in my penultimate year of a combined Arts/Law degree. I am the President of SIFE Macquarie - an international student organisation which engages in business and educational project to help others. I've learnt a lot from the variety of projects and volunteer work in the past 2 years and I hope to learn more in the future.
I am finishing my career in a global youth organisation AIESEC. It allowed me to develop in such areas like marketing, business development and leadership. This extracurricular activity in Europe and Australia was a great experience while I was studying to gain a degree in economics and after that.
I am Daniel Giles from Sydney. I run a small cafeteria here.
I have come to the conclusion that the 'changes' I want to be part of will come from within communities that have the least power and the greatest needs. What innovations are needed can only be clearly seen when you are looking from the right place and are able to cooperate rather than to lead.
I also believe that the solutions to the 'wicked problems' must come as a social, economic and environmental package.
